We were waiting for out of town family to arrive the other night and the boys were getting antsy. They didn’t want to stray from the front yard in fear that they would miss the “pulling in” celebration. So we were just hanging out in the front. And we may have jumped the gun a bit. . . so we were just hanging out. And hanging out. And hanging out. And they were like little itchy monkeys. To kill some of the time, we had a little photo shoot in the grass. Sawyer looked adorable, I was a little dressed up (and half dressed down with boots), Carter didn’t match, and James was wearing an arm sleeve because he was getting a poison ivy rash (which got horrible over the next few days).
But it doesn’t matter. I look at these pictures, and I smile. They bring me happiness–nevermind the mismatching and the poison ivy. And in the end, it killed a little bit of waiting time too 🙂
