Southern Charm

Our Thanksgiving was spent in the warm company of Southern hospitality 🙂 We spent four days down in Virginia visiting with James’ family. There were MANY of us staying at his Aunt and Uncle’s house–good thing it’s quite large–and we enjoyed hanging out with everyone. I do have to admit that the ride was definitely horrible (it took us nearly 10 hours each way). Also, Brayden got a little restless on the last day and was in a very cranky mood. I think he was just a little out of his normal comfort zone and he wasn’t used to quite so many people wanting to hold him! He did enjoy playing with the kids though, and I have to admit–he thinks he’s a much bigger kid than he really is. He had no qualms about trying to jump in a game of “kick the soccer ball” while running around the yard. There was also definitely no lack of babysitters! When James and I ran in our Turkey Trot–no problem!. . . there are Aunties who love to watch nephews! And when it’s time for Black Friday shopping–no problem!. . . there is Nanna who loves to watch grandsons 🙂 We enjoyed some game playing (a little bit of Balderdash, some scrabble and a hilariously fun game that we made up called “Tape it Up”–you’d have to see it. So funny). Anyways, it’s always a good time hanging out with James’ family and we’re so glad that we went. We don’t see them very often at all, so we have to try to make up for lost time when we do see them. And we are so happy that Adam, Rachelle and the boys decided to come down too!!
