Soccer Recap

Soccer camp is done.  I feel like Brayden improved a little everyday, which is great.  By the end of the week, he understood exactly what should happen during the scrimmage.  That there is offense and defense.  That there is out of bounds.  That you need to know which direction you are facing and which goal you are supposed to be going toward so that you can turn around if you need to.  That if someone on the other team is trying to score, you need to kick the ball away from them in the opposite direction.  That there are two teams and that you need to recognize who is on which team so you know whether or not to try to defend or to try to be a help.

And although there were some kids that were faster than him and some that could kick it further, I do feel like he rose above when it came to getting the overall concept of all the different aspects.  And for that, I am proud of him.  He scored many goals, and I loved watching his little face light up.

By the end of the week, he wasted less time, no longer cried when things didn’t go his way while he had the ball, and overall was pretty darn good.  So in love with my little soccer player 🙂
