We had Carter dedicated today.  If you have no idea what that means, it’s basically a commitment that James and I have made to choose to submit Carter’s life to God’s will, and our promise to raise him according to God’s ways and his Word.  We are promising to do everything in our power to raise him in a Godly way, by setting a good example, disciplining by God’s standards and praying for him.  


The verse that was given to Carter for his dedication is Psalm 25:4-5 . . . Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.  


Carter squirmed the entire time we were up on stage.  He was tired, and cranky and was sick of not being able to run around.  James ended up playing a very quiet game of ring around the rosy with him while our Pastor was praying.  Kind of humorous.   

My parents were there to celebrate the event with us at church.  And my mom, bless her heart, took a few pictures for us.  I gave her the big camera and threw a thirty-second lesson her way. 🙂  Thanks mom for snapping a few!
