Seven Days and Counting

march30_01

This is the final stretch for us on Christy Lane. One more week till blastoff. Into craziness. Five houses in nearly twelve years (well, technically FOUR, but five moves). Each move we have one MORE child. Each move we have a LOT more stuff. This time takes the cake for sure.

We’ve been packing all week and it’s quite amazing how much stuff we have. I know I said that probably a hundred times already, but wow. Unreal. The pile keeps getting bigger and bigger and it’s by far the biggest pile of stuff we’ve ever had. I told James the other day that I was actually ashamed at how much stuff we had–I was literally embarrassed by the gigantic bag of hangers that I collected from the coat closet, and the boys’ closets. I know it was just hangers, but it was like a completely excessive amount of hangers that no one should own. And that wasn’t even including any of the hangers in our own closet because we haven’t packed anything in there yet.

It’s just stuff and stuff and more and more stuff. I know some of you feel the same about your own things, as I’ve heard you voice your opinion on it. Some of you though, have learned to live a little more simply. At this point in my life, I wish I had learned that already!

Maybe when we unpack, we shouldn’t unpack everything! That would be a good solution 🙂

Well, here’s to seven last days in our home. That we loved so much that we went back to. That we are leaving again. Here’s to new adventures. Here’s to settling down (fingers crossed!). Here’s to a new beginning.
