At the end of last year, I found out that one of my gorgeous friends was pregnant. With more than one baby. FOUR babies to be exact. Turns out, they were four BOY babies.  Jess and her husband already had two children under five at this point, so this was just going to be huge for them. It was so fun listening to the progression of the pregnancy and their plans for help, vehicles, strategizing how the next many years of their lives would work out. Jess is part of my mom’s group through church, so it was amazing to see all of the people who brought stuff in to our meetings for her to donate. People are just amazing. And so, so giving.

The babies were able to make it until about 30 weeks and then there was a c-section–all four babies were healthy and the delivery went well. They all spent time in the NICU, and so our session for them didn’t happen until they were over fifteen weeks. . . when they were born, there was 13 pounds of baby. By the time I got to see them, there was about 40 pounds of baby! I was incredibly nervous–not just because there were four babies, but because they were so old! I had no idea what to expect. . . if they would sleep, or cry, or be “wrap-able” still.

Turns out they were still wrap-able. They still slept (and did some crying too). And they were beautiful. Thanks to my wonderful helpers, we were able to give these images to Jess and her husband to help remember these very early days with the boys. I can’t wait to watch them grow!
