Rochester, NY Family Photographer | This family is the best. We’ve been doing a yearly session ever since their oldest was a baby. And now they have two beautiful ginger haired boys that make me laugh a ton. I just adore how cute they are together–how they are playful and willing to do whatever it takes to make a genuine moment. Rolling around in the grass, tickling, tossing, running . . . we do it all at their session.

This is the only session I’ve ever had that ended with someone biting someone else. And I think that image made it on the Christmas card. We were nearly finished with the session–just trying to catch a few last playful images at the end. I was laying in the grass snapping away, trying to capture the moment, and apparently, I captured the moment. The moment that the littlest guy decided that he wanted to take a bite out of his older brother’s arm. I didn’t know until after the fact that I actually caught the moment, even with the horrible face of pain by big brother. The little guy did get a consequence of course by mom and dad, but she requested the image to be included in the gallery because it was a moment to remember. There were no more pictures taken after that one of course, because big brother was a mess by that point. But we can always remember that it was the session that ended with a bite. Perhaps it was getting close to dinner time?

This family already booked their Fall session for later this year, and as always, I am looking forward to another adventure with them. Time for some more rough housing! But hopefully we will end with smiles this time.
