The fun thing about any image is that you can never quite tell what the background to the image actually is. Take this entire session for example–you’d never know it was three against one. Three adults working together to keep the two year old happy, and to trick him into cooperating. It’s a distant memory at this point, because all that’s left are the beautiful interactions. The captured curls–the hugs, giggles and milkweed blowing. These are the things we can pocket and bring with us as we plummet into the next couple of decades.

This little boy will never be that age ever again. I’m so glad we found the essence of him and captured it in some images before it was too late. All the hearts.
