August is full of road tripping for us. Our first one was to visit our favorite New Hampshire family. We love going to visit them–the boys all get along so well, and I love visiting my sister-in-law. She’s also a photographer, which means we always have lots to talk about–we discuss our latest favorite things to shoot, editing secrets, other photographers who we like, funny blooper stories from sessions we have shot. When she shows me her new studio space, I can get super excited for her because I know exactly what kind of amazing images that studio will bring. And when we go antiquing together and we find a little crate, quilt or teepee that will be perfect for our prop stash, we can be happy for each other that we scored big. It’s just a lot of fun for me 🙂 That’s the plain simple truth.

We always leave there on a sad note–we don’t see them as often as we would like. Brayden and Carter are sad for days and continually ask when we will see them again. Hopefully soon, boys!
