Project of the Week

James and I tackled a project this week (finally).  I was taking a much needed nap a few days ago and woke up to James ripping down the wallpaper in our sunroom.  Before this week our sunroom had been a place where all of my craft stuff was set up.  It was always a disaster and looked like a tornado stormed through it mere days after I tried cleaning it up.  It was a constant struggle for me to keep it clean.  The weird thing was that it never got used for what it intended it to get used for.  I haven’t scrapbooked in over a year.  My photography things were taking over . . . my crafting cabinets were already spilling over with unused (but very much missed) crafting supplies, so to add my multiplying photography items was making the room unbearable.

Therefore, my loving husband decided that the room needed a makeover.  We went from yucky flowery wallpaper, mini-blind covered windows and a terra cotta tiled floor to a warm, cozy room with less clutter and a space that I want to work in.  At this point in my life, scrapbooking needs to take a back seat, photo editing has moved up in the world.  Now I feel like I can sit in my new office and have a nice, tidy work space.  I have to hang a few things up on the wall, but for now, it’s just what I need.  (oh, and the nice big new iMac is helpful too!)
I didn’t get to take a picture before we ripped down the wallpaper, or took down the mini-blinds. . . but you can get a general idea of how ugly the room was!  Too bad I didn’t take a picture of all the clutter before we cleared it out either!
