There’s no questioning it. . . I love pictures.  Of course.  I’m a photographer.  But I love our own pictures the most.  And if you ever came to my house, you would know right away that this is true.  There are images on the wall everywhere in my house.  I am a big fan of candid pictures, but who doesn’t love a nice updated family photo every now and then? . . . with everyone happy and looking in the general direction of the camera, smiling.  One or two new ones a year is so nice.  I don’t take my sister-in-law Rachelle for granted, and having another photographer in the family is awesome.  We don’t make a big deal about it–literally, we put everyone in their clothes really fast–my hair was already curled from the day before (thank you to my parents for blessing me with hair that stays curly for two days). . . we went outside, did a couple pictures of all four of our boys.  And then she grabbed my camera and took three minutes to snap a few dozen for me.  Obviously, a full session produces many amazingly beautiful images, but three minutes later, and one image of our family that I’m happy with hanging on the wall is good enough for me.

Since my boys were already dressed in nice clothes, I grabbed a couple more pictures of them.  And then Rachelle took a few pictures of me with my belly.  Presto, chango . . . an impromptu mini-mini sessions where everyone left happy.  Next time, it’s their turn 🙂
