Our Final Outing as a Family of Four

We will have a new baby in less than 48 hours.  The thought it so exciting, that I can barely contain my emotions.  I still have a teeny bit of energy left, so we went for a brief blueberry picking outing this morning.  I’ve been wanting to go all week, but I haven’t been brave enough to go out and do something like stand in the hot sun picking blueberries when it’s been mid-nineties every day for nearly the past seven days.  The whole experience would’ve been miserable and sweaty and I’m sure even the boys would’ve hated it.  But a cold front swept in last night, and I was delighted that the temperature dropped twenty-five degrees. You’d better believe we were going to take advantage of seventy-one degrees and go pick while we still had the chance.  They were plentiful and easy for the boys to pick, and it was much more prosperous than our strawberry picking endeavor from last month.  Thank goodness.
