My Papa, Charlie, will be ninety in a few days.  We celebrated him this past weekend, and I spent some time with family that I rarely see.  It was nice to reconnect. . . almost EVERYBODY invited was able to come, which was amazing.  We played a few games, sang Happy Birthday using his full Italian name and did the best we could to take some pictures though the backdrops weren’t the most fabulous thing in the world!

My mom came up with a cute idea, and we played a version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey called Put the Hershey Kiss in Great Papa’s Mouth.  Then we played a game where we hid a bunch of his things around the shelter and had the kids “Find Great Papa’s Items”–shoes, cd’s, hats, etc.  When they found them and brought them back to him, he gave them a Hershey Kiss.  Too bad there were hardly any hiding spots. . . the entire game lasted about a minute!
