My children happily oblige to me taking their photographs. I’m not sure how I even got lucky with Sawyer, but he is so cooperative, it’s not even funny. He has spent a couple of hours the past few days getting out all of my Christmas decorations and helping me set up the studio for my holiday sessions that start tomorrow. He carries props for me. . . helps me organize. . . and gladly models my sets and props while I take his picture. He follows directions like a champ and has the sweetest little smile.
And my other two? While they may get a little silly doing it, they do really love to be photographed as well. They came home from school yesterday and I made them get into their Christmas pajamas so I could try out my new backdrop. They snuggle, they laugh at my pretend fart noises, and I am just tickled pink that they aren’t sick of the camera, even though they are the subjects of my photographs so often. I will be sure not to take this phase for granted. I know tomorrow, one of them might not be quite as cooperative.
Why, yes I did make Sawyer wear the bear outfit again that I put him in last year. Below left-2014, Right-today.
