Tomorrow is the middle of the month. Of October. I still can’t get over the fact that summer is gone, and winter is just a stone’s throw away. There is still so much for us to figure out in this new house–we have no idea what winter will be like here. We still haven’t gotten a propane company for our little fireplace (two companies never called us back!) and we have to find a plow company for our gigantic driveway. Winter will be challenging for sure–especially with the driveway being so long. Bringing the garbage down is no joke! And getting the boys from the bus is sure to have some interesting days. I can’t believe I’m talking about winter . . .
Sawyer has been into painting lately. He’s also been a mess lately. I let him paint yesterday while I tried to fold a load of clothes and I came back to him rubbing the blue paint all in his hair. Bath time anyone?
And travel soccer is in full swing. It’s Brayden’s first year. . . he’s not quite used to the “real” practice yet. And I wouldn’t say running is necessarily one of his favorite things to do in the whole world. So practice days are always accompanied by just a tiny bit of grumbling (no worries. . . not too much. He does like it still!). He’s not a fan of playing in the cold either, so that’s going to be a challenge as well. We love that he’s involved in something that keeps him active, and we’re just trying to figure out right now if soccer is his “thing”, or if it might be a different sport. Too bad two hand touch football isn’t a high school sport, or he’d jump on the bandwagon with that. 🙂 That’s his new recess activity at school and he can’t see to get enough of it.
