Let’s make a train

Life never gets dull with Brayden.  That boy comes up with at least twenty-five things a day that he wants to do.  Unfortunately, most of them are crazy ideas thrown out there while reading a book or watching something or playing.  I have an idea. . .  he always starts.  Let’s go on a camping adventure!  Can you make me a costume for this <insert character of latest book we just read>.  Let’s go visit AJ and Riley and play legos with them (these are his cousins who live seven hours away).

Today, Thomas was on while he was eating breakfast (mind you, he doesn’t even like Thomas all that much. . . so is next comment threw me off guard a little bit).  Let’s go outside and make a train!

Uhh.  Those are the comments that sometimes I pretend not to hear?  A train?  How on earth do you make a train?

Leave it to James to take it completely in stride.  I was washing up the breakfast dishes when I see the riding lawnmower drive by in the front yard with a variety of things attached to it.  I walked outside, not being able to hide my laughter, and Brayden says, Look!  Daddy made a train!!

And at 8:30 in the morning, the boys got a train ride, pajamas and all.
