It’s not something I’ve just learned.  But it’s constantly there.  The decisions that I have to make daily to try to live life like my heart tells me I want to live it.  Passionate about the things I believe in.  Kind and loving.  Someone who makes a difference.  There is this one song by Switchfoot that I love. . . one of the lines of the song, which repeats many times is, this is your life. . . are you who you want to be?

Really, it’s our choice.  To be who we want to be.  There isn’t anyone stopping us but us.  

Today was one of those days.  I felt like I had to make a conscious decision to do the right thing the whole day.  It’s always a heart struggle. . . mainly because it’s just plain easier to be a lazy, unkind person who doesn’t care or have convictions.  But this is my life. . . am I who I want to be?  

And that’s enough to keep me in the game.
