A couple of months ago, I was so honored to be asked to photograph such a special moment in time.  I had never met Sara or Rob before, but Sara contacted me and wanted to do something really fun.  So she drove an envelope over to my house that was sealed from the ultrasound tech that determined the gender of their baby.  I was the first person who knew (other than that tech) what Sara and Rob were having–and I didn’t even know them!  I was so nervous getting ready for their session–this could go so wrong!  I designed a box, went to get balloons and then got cracking on getting ready for the session.  My worst fear obviously was that the box was going to open too early and that they would see the color of the balloons before we were ready.

But, thankfully, it all worked out wonderfully.  James tagged along too, to grab a few extra shots since this was sort of a once in a lifetime event.  And we were both a little teary, with chills and all, as Sara and Rob opened their box.  Sara’s face was priceless.  The entire time.  Isn’t she perfectly adorable?  I am looking forward to our maternity session in just a couple of weeks!
