In the Middle

Carter has recently found himself in the middle.  He seems to be taking it in stride though, and it hasn’t phased him.  He’s still head over heels for his baby brother and is in his face at any possible moment.  This school year is going to be so different for me.  I’ve never had Carter home for so long without Brayden here too.  So far, he enjoys following me around.  He likes to see what I’m doing. He volunteers to help me out without me asking, and he’s the cutest little sweet and sassy boy I’ve ever met.  I love listening to him talk–and the things that come out of his mouth crack me up.

He will be starting preschool next week, but he’ll only be gone for a few hours a week.  I think it will be good for him, and it will be interesting to see whether or not he likes school like his big brother does.  We have his Avengers backpack all ready to go—to carry his one folder.  Or his one piece of take home artwork.  The thing is practically bigger than him.  But nearly anything appropriate for his age is bigger than him.  The poor child is still in 24 month clothes.  Slowly though, they are getting a little too small, one by one.  We need a size 2.5 though, because 3T clothes are still gigantic.  Maybe he will hit a growth spurt once he’s four.
