You would never know we spent much of this session letting the kids run up and down rolling hills as fast as they could. There’s always a secret behind how I get the images I end up with by the end of the session. The behind the scenes side of the story that may consist of nearly anything at all because I try to roll with the punches and let the kids think they are playing rather than getting their picture taken. For my mommy & me sessions, I want a lot of interacting. Hugging. Snuggling. Anything that evokes emotion for the moms when they see these images hanging on their walls–something for them to look at and be overcome with love for these little people in their lives. I know personally, that’s my favorite kind of picture that I have hanging on my wall. Real, unscripted moments.
