Going Solo

A little over a week ago, I took a quick business/family trip by myself down to Georgia. I was able to make a quick stop to my dad’s house and have a wonderful dinner with family, and then I spent a couple of days with a fellow photographer. The whole trip was quick and wonderful, and James was the man of the hour (well, lots of hours) going solo with the boys for a few days. I missed Breakfast with Santa, for about the sixth year in a row, but I’m glad he was still able to take the boys.  Poor James had to lug everyone to Brayden’s activities because there wasn’t another parent to stay home with them.

I was under the impression that things would get a little less busy once Fall was behind us and winter commenced. But I was clearly very wrong. I think we’re going to be in trouble if more than one of our children is into sports. I don’t know how families with multiple children do it, when there are only two parents to bring kids back and forth and to and fro. As it is, sometimes we already have two sports on one day (basketball and soccer) and that’s just for ONE child. Lord help us when Carter starts his own activities.

I was finally able to head over to basketball this past weekend to watch Brayden play. He definitely loves basketball with something fierce, and I love to watch him truly enjoy something so much. We just have him playing in a recreational league right now, but he’s a little hustler out there. So much fun!
