If anything, our child is the one out on the field who smiles away every single time he touches the ball. He may be the child on the field who touches the ball the very least. . . but at least he’s smiling. He’ll get there someday 🙂 And until then, we have to remember to embrace him, where he is right now. Here’s what we observed in the first four sessions: he has no attention span whatsoever when it comes to the game, he is not aggressive in the least bit, and he’s much more interested in what the people are doing on and off the field than watching the ball. But he smiles, and he’s friendly, he likes all the boys on his team and he’s the only one to be content to taking his turn “off” the field and not having to play.
He’s cute too though, so that’s a bonus.
