Okay, so I fibbed a bit. I said I wasn’t going to post any more pictures of the birthday boy. But Carter took a fabulous nap this afternoon, so I was able to get some things checked off my to do list. . . including editing his birthday pictures. So, for those of you who saw the couple of sneak peak pictures this afternoon, here’s the rest of the lot.
I decided I wasn’t going to do anything fancy for Carter’s birthday. That I was going to lay low and just roll with the punches. But then a couple days before his birthday, I thought of all of these things at the last minute that I wanted to do. So I spent some time on Friday and Saturday designing some things on photoshop and baking. I had a lot of fun 🙂 It’s good to be domestic a few times a year. Especially when your little guy is turning one.
So we had a colorful birthday for him. Lots of circles and bold colors. We had a brunch with a few people in the morning. . . kept it simple. And then we were having our church group gang over Sunday night for our normal rotation . . . to do our normal study. But we sang Happy Birthday and ate cake before we started. There are loads of kids in our small group. . . fifteen of them! They all loved the cake pops and rainbow cake. So nice to have cherished friends to celebrate our little one’s lives with!
I am so in love with my little Carter!
. . . who, by the way, is sick and wasn’t a happy camper for awhile yesterday. Took him to the doctor’s today and he has an ear infection. Not a fun way to start your newest year of life!
