Ah. . . good old February. Cold, miserable and gray. Thank goodness for three little boys who keep the smiles alive in this house.
Regardless of the cold, we still had a blast. Star Wars Day at our library is always a hit–for four years in a row we’ve gone, and the past couple in costume.
Carter turned five, which I think seems impossible. His party was full of gymnastics, squinkies and pokemon cards. And a whole lot of excitement from the tiny boy, with the giant heart.
Brayden played his first season of recreational basketball and I took a million pictures. He now claims basketball is his favorite sport and wants to play for the rest of his life.
We enjoyed a week off and didn’t really do much, which is just fine with me. It was definitely the calm before the storm, so it was good to chill for a bit to gear up for the next couple of months (of course, and by that I mean RIGHT NOW, since we are moving in just a couple of days). And of course, February was great because we finally sold our house and I could stop cleaning and having it “showing” ready every single darn day.
February, thanks for the memories. Thanks for the snow day. Thanks for a birthday. Thanks for the Force that’s with us and all our fellow Jedi. Thanks for family and friends and our Awana Grand Prix race even though the boys cars’ did terribly. See you in 2016.
