This morning, I took my 119th image capturing our everyday life this year. My goal was to take at least one image every single day, and I’m thankful that so far I’ve been able to keep at it. In March, I posted all of my January captures- here’s the link to that. Sometimes I take posed pictures. Mostly I take candid ones. Sometimes I try to take ones closeup to capture small details. Sometimes I try to take a step back and capture the scene as it is, with all of the details. I try to make sure to mix it up between the kids, both individual and together, and try to get James in them sometimes. I believe in the whole year so far, I’m only in a few, but obviously, that’s the way it will always be.

One day at a time for sure, but looking through all of these at once makes me ache to continue this throughout their entire childhood. Such a small daily habit to get into, to preserve these wonderful memories of how we are right now.
