While James and Brayden frolicked around on the roller coaster and water slides, the rest of us parked on the side of the street and watched the afternoon parade. It captivated Carter, and I was impressed as well. The floats were cute, and the characters were interactive. The songs were quite catchy as well.
On the second day we were there, it poured during the afternoon. We went back to the hotel to rest for a bit and then decided to risk it and go back to the park after dinner. The rain had cleared everyone out. Brayden went on the roller coaster three times in a row with no wait. We walked right into the most popular show, Elmo Rocks, without having to wait in line and were sitting nearly in the front row. James got volunteered to “dance with Zoey” during one of her songs, and the boys loved watching him dance up front. Carter and Brayden also got to stand right in front of the stage during the concert. Carter just kept pointing and saying, “Elmo. Elmo. Elmo.” I almost died, he was so darn cute.
We enjoyed the park, crowdless, for just a little while longer. And then the rain started again. Unfortunately it didn’t let up, so we ended up having to leave before the nighttime parade, which we were all looking forward to.
We also went to Elmo’s World Live (my mom and I waited a VERY long time in line to get seats). Carter wasn’t thrilled about having to sit in a lap for that long, but Brayden got chosen to go up front and dance with Elmo, so that was fun.
Since we were at the park on July 25th, they were celebrating Christmas in July. All the workers wore Santa hats š
It was a great place. If you have young kids that like Sesame Street, it’s definitely worth the drive down for the two day pass. Good times were had by all.
