Eggs and Candy and on Brayden’s Knowledge

A few weeks ago, Brayden had Special Grown Up Day at preschool.  So I went as his special grownup and got a glimpse into his morning of school.  While there were a few things that I wasn’t completely happy with about how things were done, I was happy with the Biblical base of their day and the references to God and His love.  While sitting in circle time, listening to his teacher explain to sixteen three and four years olds about Jesus washing the disciples feet, I wondered seriously if Brayden was even picking any of it up.  It seemed a little over his head.
Apparently I was wrong.  He must listen and pick it up whether or not I think he does.
Today, while coloring a picture that Brayden’s Nanna sent him from Florida, he said, Mommy, this is Jesus as he was coming to Jerusalem on a donkey.  Everyone waved palm branches and shouted Hosanna.  Then some bad men didn’t want him there so they hurt him and put him on a cross.  But in three days the stone rolled away and Jesus rose!  We played in school and I got to be Jesus on the donkey!

It was enough to make me cry.

We went to Buffalo for Easter.  The boys got Easter baskets from my parents and then we hid fifty-five eggs for the boys to find.  We ate a whole lot of delicious food and got to spend a little time with my Papa.
You’ll have to forgive the appearance of all of us in most of the pictures.  We were all un-showered and were still wearing our pajamas 🙂

Oh look, we finally took showers and got dressed!

Tried to do that whole hold up the camera and try to take a picture yourself of the two of you.  It’s a little challenging with a camera that weighs about eight pounds.  Plus, it makes it even harder when you don’t have the right lens on!
