Easter Traditions

James and I don’t have too many traditions, but we really want that for our family.  Easter has actually been something that we’ve done the same things a few years in a row–not that they are anything crazy.  Just simple, basic everyone else does them traditions.  Dyeing eggs, easter egg hunt and easter baskets.  But the fact that we’ve been pretty consistent in doing the same things makes me happy.  Our easter egg hunt is usually done inside, but we decided to do it in the backyard instead, which I think was a lot of fun for the boys.  There are only so many places you can hide seventy-five brightly colored eggs though, so probably forty of them were just sitting in the grass, spread around the yard.  There were two special golden eggs–each with a dollar in it.  Brayden was thrilled to get a whole dollar.  We don’t do allowance or anything like that with them yet, so he doesn’t earn money on a regular basis.  A dollar is a big deal to him.

We’re looking forward to the rest of “spring” break as well. . . traveling to New Hampshire to visit some family.  Too bad the spring in spring break hasn’t quite arrived so that we could pack lightly.  But it was snowing this morning, so fat chance of that!

Enjoy some pictures from our weekend!
