Driveway Yard

Pathetically, our driveway serves as our backyard.  This has been horrible for Carter, as he seems to fall constantly.  He has scrapes and bruises all over.  I feel like a terrible mom.  But our backyard is tiny–and in it is a big giant pool.  We barely have any grass.  And that is the biggest downfall of where we live.  If I had three wishes from a magic genie, that might be the first thing that I changed.  Oh to move back to our large lot in Webster.

Monkey See. . .

Monkey Do. . .

We try to make do with what we have.  Most days I long for more green and openness for the boys to run around.  It makes me sad for them that we spend much of our outdoor time on a blacktop driveway surrounded by a wooden fence on each side.  One for our neighbors and one to keep everyone safe from the pool.  At our old house, not only did we have a large yard and an even larger one in the front, but we also had a church yard and a town playground beyond our fence.  It rocked.

Knowing James and I’s track record for moving, I’m surprised we haven’t packed up and found a better place to suit our current needs.  It seems that method keeps one moving every two years.  This would be our year to do it if you follow our past trends 🙂

The one thing I cannot complain about is the space we have inside.  So we are all set in the winter 🙂  At least we have that going for us.
