December’s Whisper

December snuck up on me like a whisper.  It’s summer and then all of a sudden I’m driving to pick up Brayden from preschool and it’s a winter wonderland.  I don’t think I’m the only one who feels this way. . . I went out for coffee with some other ladies last night and I’m pretty sure we are all in agreement.  Somewhere between August and December, we sort of forgot about the whole upcoming winter thing.  Most of us still have out summer play toys and trampolines and I’m just happy that the pool is covered.
Hopefully winter will pass by in a breeze and spring will enter with it’s warm inviting winds and happy blossoming flowers, poking up through the dirt.
Until then, I will continue watching my little blossoming flower turn once again into the happy baby that he was when he was a newbie.  Mr. Content has returned, and I hope he’s here to stay.

Brayden continues to talk about letters like they are going out of style.  And I pulled out these cheap-o dollar store worksheet books from a bin somewhere in my messy attic.  I know teachers would probably shun me for even giving them to him, but he whipped through the beginning of the alphabet book with such determination, that I giggled to myself.
Too bad it wasn’t a wipe off one.
. . . I’m sure I have one of those somewhere.
