Brecken [Buffalo, NY Newborn Photographer]

Squishy wee babes.  They are fast becoming some of my favorite photography subjects.  Once we get past the crying, flailing arms and stiff legs, and they turn into moldable piles of dough. . . that’s when I like them the best, of course.  I always laugh in my head at the beginning of a lot of sessions, because unless the baby is asleep when we first start, I’m sure my clients are thinking in their heads that there is no way that we are going to get this baby to sleep and that we are going to get those wrapped up and naked, squishy baby poses that I often share on my website and blog.  The babies flail their arms, wiggle out of wraps, turn their heads back and forth in protest.  But then, I give them a pep talk.  I wrap them nice and tight, get them warm. . . and sleep always wins.  And once we are there, and they are putty, things always look up 🙂  Such was the case during Brecken’s newborn session.  I think close to the beginning of the session, Tiffany was pretty sure the whole thing was going to be a flop.  He wasn’t cooperating. . . her older son wanted nothing to do with his brother.  But no worries. . . things started looking up, and we got some beautiful shots of everyone . . .  It just takes a little bit of patience from all 🙂

I just adore the family shots that we did at the end.  Check them out below!
