Brayden’s Favorite Place

Everyday for the past week, Brayden has said to me, matter of factly, “Let’s go someplace.” When I ask him where, he says, “Let’s go to the seum, later”. (Museum). It’s his absolute favorite place. We have gone three different times since last Friday, and seriously I think he would go every day. For those of you who aren’t from Rochester, Strong Museum of Play is one of the best museums for little kids in the country (not only is that my opinion, but it really is a fact if you were to research it online. . . this specific article ranks it second right, next to the Children’s Museum of Boston). We have an family membership, and it’s only ten minutes from our house. It’s a great place to get away and not have to entertain Brayden for awhile. He actually can play ALL BY HIMSELF when he is at this museum, which I have learned is something that is near impossible when we are home. So because I love my son, we packed up our bag and went to the “seum” for the third time this week. He is still just as excited, it doesn’t matter how many times we visit. The great thing about the museum is that you really could go for a few days in a row, for a few hours at a time and do completely different things each time. The place is gigantic. The website doesn’t even do it justice.

Today’s activities consisted of (in addition to MANY other things): Shopping at the pretend (but EXTREMELY REAL looking Wegmans), play with the plethura of activities in the Berenstain Bear’s room, visiting the new Superhero exhibit, and hanging out in Elmo’s World. We skipped over many things for the sake of time, but had a very nice lunch date at Subway to finish off the morning 🙂
