When all else fails, you haven’t used a flash, the color is off on your photos and they are very noisy because you’ve blasted your ISO, just convert everything to black & white!  Presto. . . useable images.  Though you don’t see the vibrant colors that were present on the balloons in the background or the cupcakes that our good friend Rodney made for Carter, you at least get to see wonder of the moment.  And that’s the important part.

This was our makeshift birthday party for Carter.  At our friend’s house–just us and them.  With angry birds balloons and cupcakes.  And then the rest of the night was spent hanging out and wrestling (the boys. . .not us).  We are very thankful for our friends Jami and Rodney.  They love us and our children like we are family.  It’s so heart warming.
