Birthday Weekend: Part 2

Moving a little slower these days, but finally looking through the rest of Brayden’s birthday pictures.  He had some friends to Wickham Farms, a local farm near us.  We’re beginning to love this place– we just joined their CSA and we’re excited that it begins next Monday.  We’re looking forward to a season full of fresh, locally grown veggies each week, with the freedom to pick more veggies, flowers and herbs on Mondays and Saturdays.  We also love that they have family activities planned each month–Fridays they have a story time for kids called Tales and Tails, and they bring animals each week for the kids to pet and interact with.  They are really doing a great job with their business and stick to their motto of Farm Fresh Family Fun.

The birthday get together had a lot of activity for the kids that kept them busy–the jumping pillow, some mini golf, feeding the animals, eating some pizza and choosing their own two-scoop sundae.  I thought it was fast paced for the most part and kept everyone’s attention.  With a bunch of five and six year olds, that’s not an easy feat.  Brayden had such a fun time, and Carter of course wants to go back for his own birthday party because he loved the jumping pillow and he loved the animals.

We lucked out with the weather–even up until about twelve hours before, it was 60-70% chance of rain.  The forecast changed slowly and by the end of the day, there was nothing but blue skies.  The only issue was the high winds. . . but I’ll take that over rain any day.
