Alison and Drew were married at the gorgeous and newly restored Hotel Lafayette in Buffalo.  I loved shooting this wedding because the bride was someone who I went to high school with–though we’ve been out of high school for awhile, my most vivid memories of Alison were from my sophomore year when we played softball together.  I remember her as being sweet and always friendly, and I was thrilled to photograph her wedding fifteen years after that team that we were on together.

I also loved their wedding day because they chose to see each other before the ceremony for a First Look.  It was sweet to watch them see each other for the first time and to be able to have a private moment and take a deep breath together before the rest of the day would unfold.  Their timeline gave us plenty of time for special photographs, and for the wedding party to relax for about thirty minutes before the ceremony started.
