Bethany Chase | Belhurst Castle: Geneva, NY Wedding Photographer

I realize that lately I have been putting an obnoxious number of images on each of my wedding and family session posts.  I guess that’s a good thing though–while a couple years ago when I was first starting out, I struggled to find images that I truly adored–lately, I am having a hard time narrowing down the list of favorites.  That can never be a bad thing though.  It must mean I have crossed over into the “semi-decent” category, beyond the fields of “I have a fancy camera so I think that I am a photographer”.  Don’t worry, I am fully aware that I still have a lot to learn and many more things that I can improve on.  If there were a gauge at how far along I think I am in the photography realm, I would guess that I’m only 10% of the way there.  There is a world beyond me that is shimmering up ahead–I hope some day I can reach it.
Photographing Jordan and Joellen‘s wedding was nice for James and I because we have gotten to know their family pretty well in the past year.  The whole family has embraced us with open arms, and we are now intertwined into the fabric of their lives.
The wedding took place at the Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY on the beautiful Seneca Lake–one of New York’s Finger Lakes.  It’s Wine Country there–hundreds of vineyards line the lake and the surrounding area.  The sun was out to greet the guests and the skies were gorgeous and blue.
Jordan and Joellen wanted to do a no-peek greeting before the ceremony started.  So with about fifteen minutes left before they were to be married, we found a spot for them to say hi and hold hands for a minute.
Here are some other favorites from their day . . .

We also had a unboxed photo booth at their wedding.  It was the first time we did one, and I think there is a lot of potential for future weddings . . . next up, props?
