We went to Africa yesterday morning. We arrived at 9:30 am, before most other tourists. The VIPS are allowed in a half hour early, while the plain folk have to wait until ten to arrive. We roamed amongst the lions and elephants. We dug and looked for fossils. We went on a safari bus and the only thing separating us from the rump of a lion smooshed up against the bus was a sheet of glass an inch thick. I hobbled back through the half a mile to the car on a foot that I later found out had a stress fracture. The boys munched on goldfish. We totally owned the place. Asante, Africa. Your addition to our zoo has made the zoo actually worth going to.
And pathetically, while there, I only took three pictures. But I also helped my boys snap their own images on our point and shoot-unfortunately, the card reader for that camera is broken. I kind of wanted to show you.
