We broke a weather record yesterday.  It got past eighty-five.  And I don’t remember ever seeing a sky quite so blue in awhile.  Brayden was thrilled when I told him he could play with the hose.

It amazing how it can feel like eighty-six one day and then twenty-four hours later it’s only forty-four.  We went from bathing suits to fleeces at the drop of a hat.  That’s why it feels so cluttered around here sometimes. . . in spring and fall we have to have all four seasons of gear still out.  I put winter hats on the boys once last week and this week we needed water shoes.  Sun hats and scarves are all stuffed in four drawers in our coat closet.  And there are about seven coats for each person hanging up.  Winter coat, fleece, rain coat, light spring jacket, dress coat, hoodie.  It just goes to show you how much excess stuff we have.  Only in America do we have seven different kinds of coats and then still complain that we don’t have enough stuff.

I hope all you local folks enjoyed yesterday as much as we did.
