Just like that, school is back in session. We all prefer to have no responsibilities of course.

Carter came home from school saying (through tears) that he had a headache at school. And then he promptly fell asleep on my bed. He’s never fallen asleep after school before. I guess going back after nine days of not having school was enough to exhaust him. I don’t blame you, big guy.

Of course that meant that he was still awake around 10 pm–coming out every now and then to ask us all sorts of questions that always accompany bedtime. The really deep ones that are hard to answer, and more so because we are exhausted ourselves.

Break was filled with good things. Friends and bowling and movies and reading and staying home and being lazy. I’ll take another week off at the end of March 🙂
