I had the privilege and honor of photographing the sister of a bride that I had last year.  That always makes me warm and fuzzy–and I feel sort of like I become a part of the family.  I know the house where the bride is getting ready.  I know the parents.  The siblings.  They grow a place in my heart, and I love that.  Just like Alyssa’s sister, Jenna, she had a beautiful string of pearls given to her by her parents–one pearl after another as she grew up, intended for them to wear on their wedding day.  A beautiful tradition, and so meaningful.  I love the details and the emotion, and so this tradition makes me smile.  Because that’s what it’s all about.

Mike and Alyssa were adorable together–and so sweet.  I loved capturing their day, and having James alongside me.  Everyone loves James!  And I can’t argue with that!
