Alabamian Paradise

We just got back last night from a beautiful five day trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. My dad, who lives down in Georgia, was recently diagnosed with cancer. He wanted to get the whole family together for a little vacation, just in case anything happened unexpectedly and he wasn’t able to see us again. So he told us that if we could get ourselves down to Alabama, he would pay for our entire family to have a little vacation. So, James, Joshua, Brayden and I flew down there and met up with my dad, stepmom, brother and fam, and stepsiblings and children! There were sixteen of us total! We stayed in a gorgeous house right ON the beach. There were six bedrooms, so we had our own little place to stay, complete with the breeze and sounds of the waves crashing to shore right through our window. We loved every moment of it. Brayden had a great time too–he doesn’t eat the sand anymore, hallelujah! He loved the water, but is so fast now that we had to be about two feet behind him at every second in case he made a dash for it. He’s a quick little fellow. We ate great food and played lots of games. It was so nice to see everyone and to catch up on life. We don’t see each other often at all (the last time I saw my dad and fam was over a year ago!), so we were happy that we had the opportunity to visit in such a great location. Please keep my dad in your prayers for those of you who are praying folk!
