A bit excessive

february22_09

You will have to forgive me for the excessive amount of basketball images in this post.  Not much for variety.  But the grandparents will thank me, because I know they like seeing them 🙂

We’ve come a long way with Brayden in a few years. I remember writing this post--He had just turned four and we signed him up for soccer camp. He wasn’t focused in the least bit, cried a lot and picked his nose. And now, I watch him own the court in his own little seven year old way. Sure, there’s lots of kids better than him, and that’s okay. What’s important to me is that he’s learned how to hustle. He’s learned how to be confident. And he’s so much fun to watch. Sure, he still goofs around. He still tried “trick” shots when he isn’t even close to knowing how to do a “normal” shot correctly. And he travels and double dribbles like a master.

But he makes me smile. And that’s what counts in my book.

Sunday is his last game, and he’s already looking forward to next year!
