Shooting Evie and London’s yearly session makes me giddy. . . and this year was no different.  Her parents go all in to make something unique for the two of them–they think outside of the box, and they are all in, and I love it.  I first me them back in 2012 when we shot a birthday session for the two of them when they turned two–it was at a town carnival, and I thought the whole idea was adorable.  Corndogs and tutus and bright lights. That was topped last year though with an adorable bake shop idea that Ashley thought of.  We shot it at an apple orchard, which also lent way for some fall images afterwards picking some apples and frolicking in the orchard.

We started chatting in the spring of last year about what kind of session we could do for their fourth birthday.  We bounced a few ideas back and forth (one which I believe will be their fifth birthday session!) and she came up with the idea of a campfire/shabby DIY tent, roasting marshmallows and hanging out.  Originally, we were going to shoot the session in their backyard, but then I found my super secret location that I used a few times this past fall, and I though it would be absolutely perfect for the setting they were looking for.  And it was.  Just perfect.

I love the whole thing.  The girls.  The parents.  The ideas.  The yearly session. The fact that they aren’t afraid to go out on a limb and plan something special for their two littles. And the joy of the whole thing.
