This summer seems to be a repeat from last summer. All heat, no rain. We aren’t used to this in Upstate, NY. Our lawn is already starting to turn a slight yellow–it’s crunchy. So much for a nice, lush green lawn to roll around on and have picnics on. You sit down and you get pricked in ten different places from the dying remains of what was so gleefully green just a month ago.
And as things go when you own a house, our pool filter is jammed with a toy. James can’t find the culprit, so our pool isn’t filtering. It will probably be green and unswimmable in three days! Time to call an expert. My wallet isn’t happy about that idea.
In the meantime, Carter is on the move. He finally went in the pool by himself today, without hanging onto anyone. Five minutes later, he was shaking and shivering and his teeth were chattering. When you have 0% body fat, I guess that’s what happens. Potty training began yesterday and now I’m also contemplating taking away the pacifier. Heck, just do it all at once and go insane, right?
I’m not sure why this image watermarked. Lame-o! Too lazy to redo it!
